As you can see in my sidebar to the right, I am officially counting down the days until tryouts for the Windy City Rollers.
I’ve been skating regularly and working out vigorously since January with the intent of trying out. Now that the date has been announced, it is time to kick things into hyperdrive.
I created this blog to document my journey into roller derby and my transformation into my roller derby alterego Miranda Wrongs. I plan to update my training as often as possible. This will motivate me to keep up my hard work and to push myself even further.

Monday: Morning Outdoor Skate, Afternoon Personal Training
Tuesday: Morning Outdoor Skate, Evening Quad Speed Practice
Wednesday: Morning Outdoor Skate, Evening Quad Speed Practice
Thursday: Afternoon Personal Training, Evening Speed Practice
Friday: Morning Outdoor Skate, Afternoon Golf
Saturday: Morning Quad Speed Practice
Sunday: Morning Quad Speed Practice
*All outdoor skates are weather permitting. I will either attend an open skate at a rink or do cardio at the gym if I cannot skate outdoors.
I have only been to the Saturday and Wednesday speed practices at Orbit. I’m trying out Romeoville starting this week, if I can reschedule a couple of things. If anyone else is going to be there, let me know!
