In most things, I will favor sensible over indulgent. However, when it comes to motor vehicles, I really like being high off the ground in a large truck-like SUV. I think it goes back to my first vehicle ever: my gorgeous 1989 Fire Engine Red Chevy S-10. I LOVED that truck!
Furthermore, my fiance would probably go nuts if I came home driving a Toyota. He really is devoted to "American" car companies, particularly Chevrolet and GM. I think it comes from his love of NASCAR? He can hardly stomach it that I drive a Kia now; so the next vehicle I drive will have to be from an American company. Just so that I don't have to listen to him complain.
Also, since I just started my Mary Kay business, maybe one day I'll have a pink Escalade as my "career car"! I read in the company magazine just yesterday that they are now offering Hybrid Escalades to people who qualify for Cadillacs.
